Why Do Catholics confess their sins to a priest who is a human being?

Some time ago, a neighbor of mine, a member of the so-called “Deeper Life Bible Church” located in Nigeria said he wanted to see me urgently. When I got to his flat he said that I am risking my soul believing in the doctrines of men instead of the doctrines of God. He said he wanted a Catholic to help him understand why human beings will go and confess their sins to a man who we call a priest.

I referred him to the Gospel of John and how Christ gave the authority to his apostles to forgive sins. I then told him that the apostles handed over this authority to those coming after them through the process of laying of hand which we call Holy Orders, as in the order of priests of God.

These modern-day apostles are Catholic Bishops who then appoint priests to help them in this apostolic mandate. This is akin to the 72 Christ appointed to help the Apostles. The 72 were not apostles themselves, but through a process of laying of hand, they can assume the mantle of some apostolic functions thereby helping the apostles. I then added that the Church is Judeo- Christian and that we have not abandoned the Old Testament completely and that things in the Old Testament days still inform our actions in Church today. I also told him that throughout our relationship with God, he approaches us sacramentally, through what we can see.

Going to a priest to confess is a sacramental process, an approach through what we can see. I then told him that if you do not confess your sins to a priest duly appointed by God through the Church, your sins are never forgiven.

The man was baffled but he looked convinced but he asked me to write the whole thing down for him to digest further and raise possible further questions. This is what I wrote to him. Please read carefully and SHARE!

On Catholics confessing their sins to a human being

We confess our sins to priests because God wants us to do just that and God himself has always approached us sacramentally, that is through things we can see or touch. Christ himself established the sacrament of confession in the Gospel of John chapter 20: 23 when he appeared to His apostles after the resurrection and said to them

“receive the Holy Spirit, any sin you forgive in this world is forgiven in heaven, any sin you do not forgive in this world is not forgiven in heaven”.

This means that Christ gave his authority of forgiving sins to the apostles. Since these apostles are not going to be in this world forever, and the MISSION of Christ has to continue, they handed this authority over to those other apostles coming after them. You must remember that the name ‘apostle’ is an office in the Church of Christ.

Christ did not make everybody apostles; he just selected 12 people to occupy that office. So these original apostles selected their own successors through the sacrament of ‘laying of hands’ (Holy Orders).

You remember the case of Mathias who replaced Judas (Acts 1:26). He became an apostle showing that the ‘apostle’ is a special office and also St. Paul was made an apostle too, by God and was confirmed by the apostle through laying hands on Paul(See Acts 9:17). So, it is not a matter of someone waking up one day, as people do these days, to say that God has called him and he will start to call himself “pastor” or “bishop”.

If God calls someone, the Church will still, confirm that call through laying of hands! It is these apostles that we confess to today through their successors, our Bishops who, because they cannot be everywhere at the same time, appointed priests to carry out these functions of forgiving sins.

It must be noted though that the apostles are not as persons forgiving sin.

They are forgiving the sins through Christ! It is Christ that forgives through the apostles! So the apostles cannot just forgive sins without knowing what sins they are forgiving this is why we must approach a priest to tell him the sin in a sacramental manner.

God uses the sacramental approach, which is through what can be seen, to show us himself. This is why we CANNOT go inside our rooms and tell God our sins before they are forgiven. When our first parents sinned, God could have forgiven everything but he decided to send his son so that we can see him and touch him and through him be freed of sin, Original Sin.

If God wants us to confess directly to him, he will not have appointed the apostles to do this job for him.

You must also remember that the Church is Judeo-Christian. This means that we have not totally abandoned things in the Old Testament. Some of these things in the Old Testament still inform our actions in the Church. If this is true, you can even see that in the Old Testament, sins are forgiven through the actions of priests and people go to priests to offer sacrifices for sins. So a priest is VERY important in the process of forgiveness of sin.

In Leviticus 5:5-6, we read, “then whoever is guilty in any of these cases shall confess that sin that he has incurred, and as his sin offering for the sin he has committed he shall bring to the Lord a female animal from the flock, a ewe lamb or a she-goat. The priest shall then make atonement for his sin.”

And in Numbers, we read, “And the Lord said to Moses, “Say to the people of Israel, When a man or woman commits any of the sins that men commit by breaking faith with the Lord, and that person is guilty, he shall confess his sin which he has committed; and he shall make full restitution for his wrong, adding a fifth to it, and giving it to him to whom he did the wrong. But if the man has no kinsmen to whom restitution may be made for the wrong, the restitution for the wrong shall go for the priest, in addition to the ram of atonement with which atonement is made for him. And every offering, all the holy things of the people of Israel, which they bring to the priest, shall be his; and every man's holy things shall be his; whatever any man gives to the priest shall be his.”” (Nm 5:5-10)

So, what are we seeing in the quoted Old Testament passages are: We see (1) confession of the sin committed, (2) a form of penance, specifically in these cases a “sin offering” AND “restitution” for the sin and (3) the person is NOT to go straight to God, but through a priest!

God set it up so that they were to go through a priest for confessing their sins, and this going through a priest is a foreshadowing of things to come when Christ establishes his priesthood (cf. Hebrew 10:1, Mt 5:16-18).

So, what do we see in the New Testament? Apart from what I have already told you about the Gospel of John and about when Christ asked the apostles to forgive sins on his behalf, there are some more New Testament passages you need to consider.

“...and they were baptized by him [John the Baptist] in the river Jordan, confessing their sins” (Mt 3:6). Okay, so it looks like the Jews are still observing the confession of sins to a man...whom they believe is a prophet...a man whom God works through, in this case, John the Baptist. Let's look further, in Mt 9:2-8, along with Mk 2:7, which is the same story.

Jesus tells a paralytic to “take heart”, that his “sins are forgiven” (Mt 9:2). But the people were astounded by Christ’s forgiving a man’s sin. Remember that people did not at that time know that Christ is the Messiah so they protested saying: “This man is blaspheming” (Mt 9:3, Mk 2:7), “who can forgive sin but God alone?” (Mk2:7).

But we know that it is the Scribes that made this objection, and as Christ points out, while it is true that God alone forgives sins, this statement betrays a limited understanding of God's Power. Jesus shows them the shallowness of their words when he told them, “that you may know the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (Mt 9:6). What happened then after Christ has said this? “When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and glorified God, who had given such authority to men” Which means they now understood that God can give authority to men to forgive sin! (Mt 9:8). It says, “to MEN”, plural...not just to “a man” (Jesus) but to MEN.

Sir, are these typographical errors in the Scriptures?

Please Sir, the Catholic Church is that Church established by Christ for the salvation of humans and which you read about in the Acts of the Apostles. It has always been the true Church and her teachings are never wrong because she is guided by the Holy Spirit. All other religions, claiming to be “Churches” are man-made and therefore false!

We pray that God will continue to open his words to us.

On October 9^th, 1958, Pope Pius XII died after a protracted illness. Many said he was poisoned with a poison called belladonna. There was some evidence of this poison after his death even though this was ignored by mainstream media. His lips turned pitch black and there was no one to give official explanation as to why. But the death of this pope ushered in a silent revolution in the Catholic Church leading to the total eclipse of the Catholic Church! In the last years of Pope Pius XII, the foot soldiers of the Devil, the Freemasons were locking all around him, influencing him towards making decisions that will favor them in their ugly plans to destroy the Catholic Church from within. The pope obliged them in some cases without knowing what he was doing. 

One of the clear cases of the evils of Freemasons around Pius XII Was “Cardinal” Bea who was acting as pope’s personal confessor. Unknown to this good pope, he was being used by a Freemason. It was Bea that invited Annibale Bugnini and presented him to Pius XII through the Montini connection. Mind you Montini was to claim later that he is Pope Paul VI. This Annibale Bugnini attempted to destroy the Roman Mass by tampering with the rite of the Mass. It was this tampering that resulted in a thoroughly truncated Missal of 1962 which SSPX and other quasi Traditional groups use today. It was also this same Bugnini, with the help of 6 protestant “ministers” that produced the ‘abomination of desolation’ called the Novus Ordo Mass which many who claim to be Catholic today attend every Sunday!

This is just a sample of the effects of Freemasons in the Catholic Buildings. They did not stop there. At the conclave to elect a successor for Pope Pius XII, a certain Cardinal Siri was elected. Then the unthinkable happened. Through the manipulations of “Cardinal” Tisserant, a Freemason, with the help of others from both outside and inside the conclave, the election of Cardinal Siri was nullified. This was a clear violation of the canon Law since papal resignation cannot be obtained by force or by manipulation.  Siri was forced to step aside and one Angelo Roncalli was elected as pope!

This is not possible since as a Freemason, Roncalli could not have obtained the papacy since those who associate with Freemasons are automatically excommunicated. Also, Roncalli was under censure for heresy. He was being investigated by the Holy Office for heresy and was asked to stop teaching theology at Lateran University. But somehow, this man managed to participate in a conclave to elect a pope through the cunning manipulation of his fellow foot soldiers, the Freemasons!

At the elections of Roncalli, he took the name John XXIII, a name of another anti pope and he himself became an anti pope! This election marked the foundation, that is the official foundation, of the Church of Mortal Sin! The true Catholic Church was relegated to the background. Her true hierarchy disbanded, not through any formal action, but by hand twisting them into participating in the heretical Church of Mortal Sin! Many of the true Church clergy retired, died or were murdered and the world continued as if there was no serious thing happening. After all, the world is against the Catholic Church. Now it has taken over the institutions of the Church for the good and work of Satan!

This Roncalli, went ahead to call a council called the Second Vatican Council. In this he is pretending to call a follow up to the previous council called Vatican I council that held from 29^th of June 1868-20^th October 1870. We know this is just a ruse. Vatican II has NO connection to Vatican I!

The Second Vatican Council served as the intellectual and spiritual backbone of the Church of Mortal Sin. It taught many heresies in its various documents which include collegiality, ecumenism, religious freedom, Jews are saved without Christ, and Church is Christ is not the Catholic Church, to name but a few.  During the preparation of the council, anti Pope John XXIII, that is Roncalli, personally asked that those theologians who are under censure from the Holy Office be made peritus, that is consultants at the council! Such theologians as Ratzinger (who later claimed to be Pope Benedict XVI), Hans Kung, Karl Rarhner, Chenu, Edward Shillebeeckx, Ives Congar, etc were brought in as consultants!

When other cardinals and bishops complained to Cardinal Ottavianni, the head of the Holy Office, he threw his hands in the air saying there is nothing he can do. Those were personally invited by the “pope”! So the false theologians went ahead to formulate the intellectual backbone for the Church of Mortal Sin. The first thing they did was to throw away the schemas developed by others which were meant to guide the council. 

They introduced their own schemas riddled with abomination and heresy!

While the council was on, Roncalli died and his friend and fellow foot soldier Montini was elected as anti pope. Montini made sure that the council was concluded and the havoc wrecked on the souls of Catholics who were misinformed. Millions of Catholics thought that the ongoing council was a Catholic council. But as news of the council continued to circulate with stories of wholesale heresies, people began to call for the end of this council. But Montini had other plans. He intended to see to the finial obliteration of the Catholic Church which is the mission of his organization, international Freemasonry.

When the council ended, Montini and his Hench men did not stop there, they made sure that the sacraments of the Catholic Church which were still administered in the Catholic buildings were banished and replaced with fakes, designed to look like the real thing. It was really Montini that saw to the physical and spiritual removal of the Catholic Church from the last Catholic building in the world.

The real Catholics remained and continued the faith in secret and in rented places. They continued to warn the world about the counterfeit Church occupying the Vatican and Catholic buildings world wide. But few listened.

The foot soldiers of the Church of Mortal Sin increased world wide while thousands of Catholic priests, nuns and brothers left their vocations thinking that the Church has come to an end. Unknown to these the Church, although small, and in hiding was alive! But the deed is done. Many parishes in Europe and America were left without priests to this day!

At the end of Montini’s false pontificate, Albino Luciano (John Paul I) was elected in this false line of popes, one of the heretics to boot but who wanted to stop the illicit and criminal financial dealings of Church of Mortal Sin. Some Hench men of this false church thought he has gone too far and may even be a threat to the mission of Church of Mortal Sin. So he was there removed permanently after just three months, giving way to the darling of the Church of Mortal Sin, John Paul II!

The devil’s protégée, Karol Wojtyla, a one time professor of philosophy, claiming to be Pope John Paul II was elected to drive home the intellectual bases of Church of Mortal Sin. He was there at the Vatican for nearly 27 years perpetrating evil after evil and sealing the fate of millions of souls, sending them to hell fire.

Meanwhile, the majority of those who think they remain Catholic see this man as saintly. Why? Because having been receiving the false and invalid sacraments of Montini, they are bereft of grace, they can barely recognize Catholicism. They, like lost sheep, accepted all the atrocities of John Paul II and those of his criminal predecessors as voice of Catholic hierarchy. They were lost.

After John Paul II came Ratzinger, another master manipulator who pretended to be Catholic in order to bring Catholics from hiding into the Church of Mortal Sin! He indeed got many of them into his false Church by publishing a letter called Sumnorun Pontificum, which suggested that the Mass of the Catholic Church was not abrogated and indeed can be celebrated within limits, within the Church of Mortal sin!

Many fell for this mischief and entered the Church of Mortal Sin, where they remain today. Many are still gearing up to enter. Remember that Benedict XVI was one of those heretics called to design the intellectual backbone of the Church of Mortal Sin at Vatican II council. He did his job well. He wrote many books and hundreds of articles in various errant Journals of theology, articulating for the intellect the Church of Mortal Sin. These books are with us. In those books he denied nearly all things Catholic and continued to behave as a Catholic priest, bishop and cardinal. Many thought him a Traditional Catholic. But he is NOT. He is another offspring of the Devil who resigned his pretended papacy in order to give room for another deceiver, Bergoglio who claimed to be Pope Francis!

Francis being a prominent hater of the Catholic Church, sought to attract more attention and love to himself by accepting everything humans do as “cool”! He refused to say that homosexuality is a mortal sin. He in fact says we should accept homosexuals as they are. ‘They are Children of God’, . “who am I to judge?” His actual mission is to end all things remaining Catholic in the Church of Mortal Sin.

He first of all rejected all things looking like Catholicism in the papacy of the Church of Mortal Sin, rejecting papal Zucchetto, papal red shoes, papal residence and papal protocols. Enemies of the Catholic Church called the man “humble” and “brave”. The world media jubilated that finally a true human being has gained the papacy! But unknown to ordinary people, such a man as Bergoglio CANNOT gain the Catholic papacy! He can only gain the papacy in the Church of Mortal Sin, is there is anything like that!

Recently, Bergoglio showed his true colors and the true colors of his false church. He published a paper he called “Apostolic Exhortation” Amoris Laetitia (the Joy of Love). But there is nothing apostolic in this long letter. It was a Tome of Sin due to its lengthy lettering, designed to hide its true intent.

In number 301 of this tome of sin, Bergoglio finally banished all the idea of sin from his false Church. This paragraph said:

“For adequate understanding of the possibility and need of special discernment in certain  “irregular” situations (that is homosexual marriages, cohabiting couples and divorced and remarried couples), one thing must always be taken into account lest anyone think that the demands of the Gospel are in any way being compromised. The Church possesses a solid body of reflection concerning mitigating factors and situations. Hence, it can no longer simply be said that all those in any irregular  situation are living in a state of mortal sin and are deprived of sanctifying grace”

Note that “irregular situation” here means homosexuals, cohabiting couples and divorced and remarried couples. In this very passage, Francis banished sin forever, from the magisterium of his Church of Mortal Sin. Those who think him Catholic were shocked! They complained and complained and wrote thousands of words on the internet condemning Francis. But they all failed to understand that Francis is following the rule of Satan and his false Church!

Those hapless individuals who are member of Francis Church were shocked, especially as NONE of Francis; foot soldiers, that is the thousands of false Bishops and priests they have installed world wide said anything to counter him. Some others, like “Cardinal” Burke, attempted a disaster control by saying that Francis is merely offering an opinion. But we know that this is just a bare faced lie coming from a liar who eats from the same table as Francis.

If Francis were a pope, each Catholic MUST follow his writings as part of his ordinary magisterium. But he is NOT the pope, thankfully. So Burke lied! Many others were told that Francis have not changed anything in the Catholic Church! But Francis himself denied these people and said that he has indeed changed things.

He has allowed divorced and remarried, homosexuals, cohabiting couples or any other person to receive communion in his Church of Mortal Sin! He said this himself while on his way from the Greek Island of Lesbos! What an irony! Lesbians can receive communion in Francis false Church since we cannot say they are living in Mortal sin! All is well. It is signed and sealed by Francis.

Listening to homilies throughout the Church of Mortal Sin, there is silence about the banishment of Mortal Sin by Francis. People simply filled the Churches of Mortal sin on a typical Sunday seemingly oblivious of what they are into! So, this silence means consent. It means that those who are with Francis are members of the Church of Mortal Sin, a Church where there is no sin! All are welcomed to participate in its life, without any repentance.

We must note that there is nothing Catholic in this Church of Mortal Sin so do NOT be Deceived!

While we acknowledge the existence of the Church of Mortal sin, tracing its beginning from 1958, we must also, acknowledge the reason for its existence.

The reason for its existence is to banish many millions of souls to hell! So those who have left the Church of Mortal Sin at one point or another, must now work to save people still trapped within it. As one of my friends put it, it is like watching a building burning while people are still trapped inside it. Those who have escaped the burning building must still, for the sake of Christian charity, try and embark on a rescue mission. This is a daily job. It is even more urgent today!

Does Francis remain the Pope after his “tome of Sin”? For you?

The internet and other media are inundated with condemnation and screaming and shouting concerning the latest Francis “Exhortation”. These screaming and shouting comes from people who claim to be Catholic and see Francis as their pope!

They have now seen clearly that Francis is teaching heresy upon heresy in his new publication Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love). But what are they to do?

They will do nothing! They will remain in heresy with Francis! Their shouting and screaming is artificial, a reaction coming from those defeated by the Devil! A friend have already told me that the Novus Ordo “Church building” will be empty out of the mess created by Francis. I told his that is impossible!

Essentially What Francis is pushing in his new work the end of the idea of Sin! That is what the whole “Tome of Sin” is about. I call it tome of sin because he really put pen to paper to produce a large document most people will not read completely.

For the modernists, putting pen to paper is essential since it helps to hide the real motive. At initial look, one may think that writing voluminously shows erudition and serious work. But for the modernists, writing a lot is used to hide the real motive which is usually to subvert the Catholic truth.

The summery of Francis’s tome of sin is to  remove the idea of sin from people’s minds and allow Homosexuals, those living together without marriage and those divorced and remarried to receive communion if his false religion!

So he went round and round filling papers and quoting and quoting the scriptures and beating about the bush. You will see mundane things like:

“Some throughout the world have not been trained to say “Please”, “thank you” and “sorry” (no 266)

He used this type of trivialities to fill the pages. You begin to feel that the document is just a psychological self help book for effective living in the world. But it is not. He claimed it is “apostolic exhortation”!

Go to paragraph 300 to see what he started to say. He will say that Christian marriage is the ideal. In other words, he is admitting that marriage is between man and woman taking vows before God.

He said this so that his supporters will scream “don’t worry. Francis is not changing anything in the Church”.

But after saying that, he goes against it to suggest that the Christian marriage is an ideal only attainable by a few!

He then says”

Here we see Francis stating the motive behind his long document! He is saying that homosexuals, cohabiting couples and divorced and remarried, are not in a state of mortal sin, as the Church teaches! We can no longer say that since we do not know. It means that sin is between a soul and God. We cannot say a particular action or belief in sinful because we do not know the state of the person’s conscience or his state in life. The person, despite being in objective state of sin may be in the grace of God!

This is what the man many call “The Pope” wants us to believe! Mind you this is to give communion to all without questioning since we cannot say that any one cannot receive communion. If there is a problem, God himself can deal with that person not us. So all are welcomed to communion!

Remember that Francis is claiming to write about the family? But we have seen here a blanket abrogation of sin! He is essentially saying that anyone can come into the “church” and get “communion” since our work is to have “mercy” and “welcome” all! He also said that “no one is condemned forever. That is not the logic of the Gospel”.

…” a pastor cannot feel that it is enough simply to apply moral law to those living in irregular situations as if they were stones thrown at people”. This will mean that we are closing the door of the Church to people and judging them as if we sit on the throne of Moses! (Cf no 305)

So we see that Francis’ motive is an abrogation of sin!

After we have known this, what are we (you) to do? Knowing that Francis book is a tome of sin and therefore heretical?

Will you continue to say he is pope and accepting his admonitions? Are we to ignore him and continue to call him pope? Is it catholic not to follow a pope? Is he the pope?

These are the questions that need to be answered by those who claim that Francis is pope and insert his name into the canon of the Mass!

A Letter to SSPX members in Lagos, Nigeria

Dear SSPXers Lagos Nigeria,

The battle is on! The battle for the true faith is on. It does not end. Last Sunday you were told again basket full of lies. They, SSPX authorities in Nigeria, know that you will not find out. They want you to remain in the dark in a false religion masquerading as Traditional Catholicism!

Ask yourself, why are they, SSPX, fixated on sedevacantism? They reason is that they see the whole thing as partisans. You are in our party or in their party. Can you not sense the insult there? The hurting of Catholic sensibilities? Can you not see the insult? The kind that was given to Fr. Greg Obih in a basket load? They see you as goats! Goats that will eat anything presented to it!

The member asking whether the Sedevacantists are Catholics is doing the work of the devil. He wanted to sow doubt. He wants it announced that Sedevacantists are not Catholics so that he will proclaims that they are gong to hell! Is it the SSPX that is Catholic? SSPX that has been dancing with heretics? SSPX that believes heresy is truth? Collecting money from Masonic families to fund seminary building in America? During the Holy Week did you engage in Catholic pristine ceremonies? You did not because the missal you are using was truncated by Annibale Bugnini who later developed the evil Novus Ordo Mass which SSPX say is okay. Why is this person not asking whether the SSPX is catholic based on these facts? He has concluded that SSPX is Catholic because he does not know what Catholicism is!

The truth is that these are critical times and the camp of the devil prays that you not become truly Catholic! You fear sedevacantism because the person giving you “feeding money” is in the SSPX and you fear that if you leave, you lose your “feeding money”? You need to leave and see that there will always be “feeding money”!

You stay with heretical SSPX because you are expected by someone to remain there with them. You do not want to disappoint the people entrusted to you and so you remain in error? You do not want to be seen as a devil? So you remain there? You need to know that the ultimate price of remaining in SSPX, knowing that they are NOT Catholics is Hell fire.

Surely, to recognize heretics as the hierarchy is heresy and unrepentant heretics go to hell! To suggest that an abomination of desolation, the Novus Ordo mass is valid and was given by the Church is heresy and to die in heresy is to go to hell! To remain with people who collect money from freemasons, the enemy of the Catholic Church is to be an enemy of the Catholic Church! So ponder these! You may NOT even agree with Sedevacant situation but is it SSPX you agree with?

The central crux of the matter Fr. Peter used to deceive you is to suggest that no one can declare anyone heretic! That shows that he is a fake! He does not even understand the Sedevacantist position he is posing to criticize. Sedevacantists that is those who agree with the Church that the Seat of St. Peter is vacant do not make any private judgment! They simply make judgments as the Church makes judgments!

The Second Council of Constantinople dogmatically taught that “heretics anathematize themselves and a tribunal is not needed to remove them from the Church”. If I affirm this, is this my private judgment? Am I the one suggesting that Francis is a false pope? Ask the fathers of this council!

Pope Pius XII taught in his encyclical Mysterium Corporis that heretics are outside the Church. When Sedevacantists suggest that Francis is outside the Church, is this a private judgment?

When Pope Saint Leo XIII taught in Satis Cognitum that heresy by a bishop or pope is to separate from the Apostles and so a such lose all jurisdiction, is this true or not? When I agree with Leo XIII, I am imposing authority on myself?

When you claim that Novus Ordo Mass, Novus Ordo ordination, Novus Ordo religion is false, who gave you authority to say that? Why did you stop going to Novus Ordo Mass? Why not wait for a council to declare these invalid? Why make private Judgment?

But surely you are not making any private judgment you are following the Catholic faith on this account! You have looked into Novus Ordo and, with Catholics sense know that Novus Ordo religion is NOT Catholic! If you can make this assessment based on the teaching of the Church, why not make the same analysis and conclude that Francis and his 5 predecessors are not Catholic? SSPX forbid you from making this analysis and entering the Catholic Church!

The bottom line of what Fr. Peter was suggesting is that a pope need not be Catholic! An Anglican, filled totally of heresy, can become pope as long as he has not been deposed by a council or a tribunal. This is what Fr. Peter and SSPX believes and they want you to believe the same so that when you die you go to hell!

SSPX also makes funny suggestions that Francis is a material heretic that is he is in error although without knowing it. This is simply comedy and foolhardiness! When you press them on this they will suggest that you can never know what is going on in Francis mind. He may actually be a man of goodwill just trying to fix the church without knowing he is harming it! Can you beat the foolishness? How do we know a heretic? Is it by psychoanalysis? That is seeking to look into the person’s mind? We know heretics by what they say, which are contrary to the revealed truths f the Church!  How can Francis not be a formal heretic when he claims to be a Bishop in the Catholic Church? At least he knows all that they Church teaches but still reject them. He even served at Tridentine Masses when he was growing up, and which he joked with. How then can he be an ignorant material heretic? If we cannot determine who a heretic is because we cannot read minds, then why call Arius, Martin Luther, Nestronius, Calvin, and other people heretics?

When Fr. Peters was asked what to make of Francis saying that he does not believe in a Catholic God, he tried to dodge the question by saying “we have to examine the contest in which he says that”. That is a clear sign that Fr. Peter is a Modernist and he is confirming you in Modernism! If he were not a modernist, he would have examined the context there and there! He would have searched the internet there to get to the truth! But no! he just escaped from answering the question! He wanted the question dead!

But what is the truth? Francis said he does not believe in a Catholic God! You can investigate this on your own! He was being interviewed point by point and he was asked What God he believes in! “His words were “I believe in God but not in the Catholic God. There is no Catholic God”. Please use Google to look for the interview he gave to the newspaper La Repubblica. There was no context. This is point blank heresy and Fr. Peter denied this! Even if there is context, can a person claiming to be pope make such statement? ever? No!

But SSPX and Fr. Peters knows that if they tell the truth about Francis their position will collapse! They know that there is no other God except the Catholic God and yet Francis deny this ONLY TRUE God and SSPX is dismissing this as a non issue. Why? They are after your soul! They want you in hell! You are the one that will judge! You soul is your own. Save your soul or damn it, that is really your business!

But remember that there are those who are weak and entrusted to you. You cannot mislead these because you are stuck in the rut out of pride. You enemy has gone to sedevacantism and you cannot join him there!

Have you seen the joy and enchantment that greeted Fellay’s meeting with Francis? The same Francis Fellay says is a genuine Modernist? Has he stopped being Modernist? Has he converted to the Catholic Church? Renouncing his heresies? No! He has not. Yet Fellay wants you to join him. Will you still have moral justification to call Francis, false Pope, false prophet, evil, and antichrist? When your head is dining with him?

SSPXer, this is time to use your God given brain to think! Simple common sense will save you! Common sense will show you that SSPX is playing Russian Roulette with your soul and you are allowing them?

A Brief History of heresy

The Catholic Church was established by Christ for the Redemption of all people. It is the New Covenant of God with His people, Jew and Gentile alike. This Catholic Church is indefectible. This means it cannot teach errors and cannot contain any error because the truths preached by the Catholic Church were revealed by Christ who is God. As a matter of fact, those who are Catholics are surely on the way to heaven only if they can keep the entire truths revealed by Christ to His Church wholly and inviolate. This means that NONE of the things taught by the Church has human origin. Christ reveals the truth and humans mediates on it to lay it bare for human intellect.

However, the Devil is always at work to infiltrate the Catholic Church through heresy! That is, he wants to have, as part of what the Church teaches, errors from the pit of hell. He, the Devil, chooses his own foot soldiers from among the clergy so that they can use their authority to add to the body of truths taught by the Church some errors. But luckily for us, Christ has already promised that “the gates of hell cannot prevail against My Church”. Here Gates of hell STRICTLY means the “lying tongues of heretics”. Here Christ is promising that heresies will never be part of the Church’s doctrine and heretics will never obliterate the Church! There must always be the truth faith, the faith of Peter. Some people have said that Gates of hell means that the Church is always physically protected by Christ. This is NOT true. The enemy can destroy buildings and mimic the Church in order to deceive souls. But the Church remains and there must always be people who will hold the true faith.

Heresy is a mortal sin that removes one from membership of the Catholic Church. Once heresy is preached by someone, that person, ipso facto, ceases to be Catholic. According to Pope Leo XIII, Satis Cognitum (No 9), “…But he who dissents even in one point from divinely revealed truth absolutely rejects all faith, since he thereby refuses to honor God as the supreme truth and the formal motive of faith.”

There have been series of heresies that have arisen in the quest to obliterate the true teachings of Christ. None has succeeded in touching the body of Christ!

Today’s heresy called Modernism, which Pope Saint Pius X called “the synthesis of all heresies” Here Pius X is saying that there are vestiges of all heresies within modernism and there are new and diverse heresies within it as well. Modernism started toward the end of 17^th Century, at least we started to see it being articulated by errant philosophers and theologians. It became bolder and bolder such that by the time Pius X became pope, in 1903, the heresy has almost infiltrated the Church! But God strengthened this pope to fight this ugly heresy with both hands. His classic encyclical, ‘Pascendi Dominici Gregis articulated the content of this heresy and condemned it, totally. He confronted those who have the tendencies towards it by removing them from their Sees and banishing their priests. But the heresy persisted through the activities of Freemasons who have always wanted to infiltrate the Church and obliterate it. Pius the X enacted the “Oath against Modernism” to be taken by all the clergy. Modernism receded to the margins where it waited and gathered momentum. As we know, the Devil and his foot soldiers never rest. One of the immediate actions of Modernists when they took the papacy, was to suppress the oath against modernism!

Modernism has at its core, liberalism and also progressivism. Liberalism, in the context of theology is the idea that all religions are equally good in so far as humans have freedom to chose and whatever humans chose, is good for them within law. It does not matter what a person believes as long as the person is ‘good’. According to Fr. Felix Sarda Y Salvany, ‘liberalism is the dogmatic affirmation of the absolute independence of the individual and of social reason’( Liberalism is sin, Pg 28). In other words, Liberalism promotes the idolization of man as the center of all things.

Modernism, truly is a creation of an alignment with modern state, modern world, modern philosophy, modern science and even modern myth( Atila Guimareas, Liberal, modernists and progressivists{traditioninaction}). Central today’s modernism is an acceptance of contemporary philosophy, the philosophy of postmodernism articulated by Leotard, Rorty and others, which is seen in the philosophy of Karol Wojtyla( who later claimed to be Pope John Paul II) also. His book Phenomenolgie is an acceptance the idea that there are no immutable truths. He and his cohorts assert that truth is warranted acceptability. This means that truth is a matter of agreement and is only meaningful within a context. Looking at the Modernists onslaught against the Church, we see this error manifested everyday! We see modernists trying to bring the Church up to date to modern living because modern living is today’s ‘truth”, according to them. For them, it is people that determine what is true and what is false. In the Novus Ordo recently concluded synod on the family we saw modernists openly accepting cohabitation, divorce and homosexuality because that is what society has accepted! They printed questionnaires sent to world Novus Ordo “bishops” which are distributed to people asking them which way “the church” should proceed. The people determine what the truth is! Surely modernism is a heresy from the pit of hell.

Progressivism, a branch of Modernism is an extension of modernism to liturgical, biblical, patristic and social spheres. This means that progressivists, change these areas to align with modern thinking. For instance, they read the Fathers such that it coincide with the way the interpret things. They put new words into the fathers to justify Vatican II council, destruction of the mass and sacraments etc.

All the popes after Pius X fought against Modernism but it has become aggressive and violent such that there are rumors of Pius XII being murdered to make way for complete annihilation of Catholicism through heresy. Indeed Modernists, numbering in their thousands have infiltrated the Church by squandering the goodwill of various popes. For instance, Bishop Bea was a confessor to Pius XII and yet he brought in a fellow Modernist, Annibale Bugnini and recommended him to Pius XII for liturgical advice. Unknown to Pius XII, that was a serious breach. Bea was trusted but he used that opportunity to bring in a fellow modernist foot soldier who later created a new false mass, which millions claiming to be Catholic attend today. All the while, Bea was pretending to be just a good Catholic. But looking also, at his activities at Vatican II council, we know surely that he was of the devil!  

After the death of Pius XII, the Modernist saw to it that they elect a non-Catholic to the Throne of St. Peter in 1958. Surely this was an invalid election! This was Roncali, who was a modernist non-Catholic and as we all know modernist are NOT Catholics. From Roncali, they called the Second Vatican Council which was used to enthrone Modernism officially into the Church. But as Our Lord had promised, the gates of hell will never prevail. The Modernist sect did not succeed in finishing off the Catholic Church but they succeeded in occupying Catholic institutions and making use of Catholic symbols to create another religion that is truly a hydra headed monster. This hydra headed monster is what most people believe, today, is the Catholic Church! But thank God, Catholics know that this is not true.

The counter ‘Church’ at the Vatican and dioceses and parishes worldwide is NOT Catholic. It is a heretical institution that is barren of all God’s grace just as all heretical organizations are. They put up seminaries world wide, ordain invalid priests and deceive the world. They even concocted a false Mass which was predicted by Prophet Daniel and called “Abomination of Desolation”, that is their Novus Ordo Mass. This false mass is what they attend world wide making people think that the Catholic Church now has a billion members. Nothing can be further from the truth! In actual fact, the number of Catholics has been reduced to few thousands due to heresy of Modernism. The truth therefore is that Modernism/Vatican II religion/Novus Ordo Religion has 1 billion members not the Catholic Church. So, Modernism is rife!

Long before Modernism, there were hundreds of other heresies which tried to infiltrate the Church, but failed. But none is as successful as Modernism. The only heresy that got some huge success akin to modernism, is the Arian heresy.

Arian heresy

A certain priest, Arius living in Alexandria Egypt began in 318 AD to teach that Christ is NOT God since he is essentially different from God the Father! Of course he lost his membership of the Church but his error was indeed influential such that it spread very fast! In that same year, 318AD, the Bishops of Egypt condemned Arius at a Synod. Despite this condemnation, Arinism became a worldwide phenomenon. Even some Egyptian Bishops that condemned Arius turn back to accept the heresy and assisted thugs to uproot anti Arians from their Sees physically! One of those affected was St. Athanasius who was brutalized and ostracized but who remained steadfast in the true faith and he became a rallying point for true Catholics. This caused a huge crisis in the whole Church throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Infact the crisis spread to Europe. It was as if the crisis will engulf the whole church. Even Then, the Church called the council of Nicea and officially condemned Arius and his followers and asserted that Christ is Both God and Man in a hypostatic union! However, Arians rejected the council and they still exist today!

Donatism

This heresy arose from the crisis of 312AD when a certain Caecilain was elected Archbishop of Cathage. Some bishops from Numidia protested against this, claiming that the bishop was elected illegally, and in the huge squabble that ensured, a Numidian Bishop, Donatus, started to teach that those who are supporting Caecilain must be re-baptized to remain Christian. He said that because he accused some of them of selling out the faith during the Roman persecution. His heresy is to suggest there is such a thing as re-baptism! It was St. Augustine that effectively silenced Donatists whose existence is mainly limited to North Africa.

Nestorianism

This heresy arises from the Bishop of Constantinople, around 420AD. He preached that Christ had two natures, one human and the other diving but that Mary is just the Mother of the Human side of Christ. In other words, Mary is NOT the Mother of God. This was indeed an erroneous reaction to the spreading Arianism. A lay man actually stood up and confronted him openly and berated his heresy and condemned him as a heretic! So, his own people deserted him, including St. Cyril of Alexandria! The heresy was widespread prompting a council, the council of Ephesus to condemn it. The council affirmed that Mary is, Theotokos, Mother of God.

Monophysitism

This heresy is an opposite of Nestronism! It teaches that Christ has only one nature. In other words, the human and divine natures of Christ are fussed together into one nature! This ofcourse is false! Christ has two natures, the human and the divine. This heresy was condemned in 451AD at the council of Chalcedon!

Pelagianism

This heresy arose from the teaching of a monk called Pelegian. This monk preached that human nature is not damaged by original Sin and so humans, through their own free will and hard work alone can attain salvation! This means that Adam did not transmit his sins through his descendants! This heresy was condemned by Pope Celestine in 423AD. This pope taught that every holy thought and movement of the will comes from God.

Manichianism

This is heresy arising from the preaching of Mani. This man preached that Jesus’ death and resurrection is not a triumph over sin. This man gave substance to sin meaning that sin is not an absence of grace. Pope Miltiades condemned this heresy when he discovered that Manicheans have reached Rome. St. Augustine wrote a lot against this heresy.

Albigensianism

This heresy asserts that there are two exiting principles in reality, one good and the other bad. The good is responsible fore spiritual world while the other is responsible for evil. It is the bad principles that created the human body and sin. This heresy taught that the earth is a place of punishment and at death the soul is liberated from punishment! Pope Innocent III condemned the heresy and said that those who adopt this heresy are worse than the Muslims!

Bogomils

This heresy arose from Bulgaria and it was the priest, Fr. Bogumil who started this heresy. He taught that co-existence of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost is not possible. He believed that the miracles of Christ recorded in the bible did not happen in the physical realm! They deny the efficacy of the sacraments of the Church as was instituted by Christ! He also repudiated infant baptism. This heresy was condemned by several popes after the heresy survived many centuries. We see some of their false teachings surviving in what is now falsely called “Pentecostalism” and “Evangelicals”.

Waldenses

This heresy is a native of France. This heresy came from the man names Waldo who sold all he had and became and errant preacher. He had many followers. He taught that the Church of Christ has disappeared after Constantine made it an official religion of Rome. He said the corruption of the world has made it impossible for one to speak of an institutional Church. He condemned the office of the pope. This heresy was condemned by Pope Lucius II in 1184

Lutheranism

Martin Luther is a well know progenitor of many heresies that is with us today in thousands of sects! For instance, Luther wrote “Sin boldly but believe more boldly…sin will not destroy in us the reign of the Lamb although we were to commit fornication or murder a thousand times a day”. We see this idea in today’s sects like “Pentecostalism” that deny sin and simply believe in Christ. Luther’s heresies are monumental but all of them were condemned at the Council of Trent in 1545

Calvinism

Calvin, the heretic arouse not long after Luther. Indeed it is believed by many that Luther inspired Calvin to rebel against Christ in His true Church. Calvin’s chief heresy is what is called predestination. He taught that from the foundation of the world, God has already destined some people for heaven and others to hell. So, no matter what this “elect” does, they are bound for heaven and no matter what the damned do, they are bound to hell! Calvinism is surviving today just as Lutheranism! The Church has condemned this heresy many times.

Anglicanism

Anglican heresy arose from the follies of king Henry VIII. He refused to adhere to Church teaching concerning divorce. He wanted to marry a second wife, Anne Boleyn but the Church refused to grant him reprieve from his previous valid marriage to Catharine of Aragon and as a King, he revolted and departed from Christianity, rejecting the papacy and Catholicism in toto. Today his sect is still with us. Various popes have condemned him and his sect but the sect is surviving today in what is called The Anglican Church.

“Pentecostalism”

This heresy is very perverse that it denies nearly all things thought by the Church. In 1903, in Azusa, California, this heresy was given an intellectual backing by heretics and since then they have blossomed into tens of thousands of sects. The name is erroneous because the Holy Ghost cannot beget evil. So “Pentecostalism’ must always be written with inverted commas.

Conclusion

These heresies listed here, appear under one umbrella called modernism. In modernism, we find the vestiges of ALL the heresies listed here plus many others not listed. The Modernist heresy was given impetus at the robber council, Vatican II. This council’s 16 documents embody all the heresies that have ever arisen in the Church. So, a study of Vatican II is necessary to see that it was a council that enthroned modernism and indeed, as Pope Saint Pius X submitted, Modernism is the ‘synthesis of all heresies’!
